TODDLER CLASSROOM STAFF
Job Title: Classroom Staff · Reports To: Director · FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Responsible for performing daily care and education duties, including observing, supervising, and disciplining children, and works with the other staff to ensure the environment remains safe, clean, effective, and compliant for the children. This position supports the social, motor development, academic, and personal development of the children of Oxford Academy within a safe learning environment by performing the following duties. This job requires the employee to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of children by following all Director and Administrator instructions, all program policies, and all childcare regulations and statues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs tasks as specified daily by administrative staff and KDHE regulations.

Maintains control of the children in the classroom.

Maintains the cleanliness of the classroom by cleaning and sanitizing classroom items and areas, including taking trash out and sanitizing bathrooms.

Provides a scheduled routine for all children within the classroom and facility.

Supervises and maintains control of the children on the playground.

Keeps director and assistant director informed concerning staff, children, and parental issues.

Attends ongoing training as needed.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in childcare is preferred.
